the pitts!

im trying to erase this past week from memory. one thing after another. the truck broke down twice and the trailer once. ive got my sights set on the upcoming week. the past is the past. have to think about the positive things.
i got my new leather jacket from international trucks. i bought the jacket for a hundred twenty five thousand dollars and got a free truck.
well, time to enjoy patricks soccer game...one of the finer things in life.....

In Bayonne NJ

 made it to nj last night. im just too close to nyc with a big truck. everyone here speaks spanish. no english. you have to use sign language. i know a little spanish but just enough to get me slapped or in big trouble. i can see nyc and the inner harbor. its a great view. ill be coming back in a few hours. after the delivery its time for a little lunch then hit the road

greetings from the warm south. thats southern ohio. im in cincinatti. trying to post by phone is hard. i cannot put any punctuation or capitals with this so bear with me.
well, its been an interesting couple of days. i was in canada yesterday and it was warmer up there than in cleveland. i got to see some of canadas high speed passenger rails up close. i was parked next to the tracks when these monsters rolled by at speeds of over a hundred mph. now i made it to cinci to unload and return to west virginia for a nights rest. big things are brewing with this truck. ill let you know whats going on in a future post. ta ta for now.

Short Weekend

This has been a real short weekend! Got in late Friday night, soccer and other family stuff last night (not complaining about this at all!) and now it's back on the road again. This time to Burlington, Ontario. The load got switched from Nova Scottia. This happens alot. Nothing is set in stone until the load is delivered so I can really never make set plans. Oh well, I've been doing this so long that I'm used to it. I'm lucky that my family is used to it and can adapt to change quickly!!

Back Home Again

The truck wheels rolled into the yard about 2030 tonight as the moon broke through the clouds. It rained enough on the trip home just to get my truck dirty with road spray. (argh) The alarm will go off at 0600 for Coast Guard duty tomorrow. We get to patrol for flood damage out East, but for now it's time for a needed break and a hot cup of decafe coffee. Time will unfortunately move quickly and before I know it those big wheels will start making their way back to West Virginia then off to Nova Scotia. I'll have to brush up on my Canadian, aye?
